Australian Museum
As part of Sydney World Pride’s Rainbow City, George was invited to transform the museums iconic shark statue in support and recognition of the LGBTQIA+ community. Made from hand stitched rainbow Lycra, the 10 meter long Shark paid tribute to the trailblazers of the first Mardi Gras Parade which took place in Sydney in 1978. The shark quickly became a viral sensation, sparked dozens of memes, and even prompted an Instagram fan account.
